Installation on a local computer/laptop - Which license do I need?
If you have a normal pc or laptop you will need a so called eDocPrinter PDF Pro workstation license. You need one license pr. computer! Example: If you have 12 computers and want to use eDocPrinter PDF Pro on all 12 computers you have to purchase 12 eDocPrinter PDF Pro workstation licenses.
Such workstation license
cannot be used for installation/registration on a server - it will not work and such a workstation license can also not be used as shared printer/network printer!
Installation on a Terminal server/Citrix server - Which license do I need?
If you have a Terminal server or Citrix server you have to purchase either so called eDocPrinter PDF Pro Terminal Server Connection licenses ( based on named users ) or you have to purchase eDocPrinter PDF Pro Terminal Server/Citrix Server " server license ".
Example:
You have a Terminal Server with only 10 named users and all 10 TSE users should be able to use eDocPrinter PDF Pro for pdf creation. Then you have to purchase 10 eDocPrinter PDF Pro Terminal Server Connection licenses.
Next example:
You have a single Terminal/Citrix server with eg. 300 users. Then you should purchase a so called eDocPrinter PDF Pro Terminal Server/Citrix Server " server license ". That means you can install eDocPrinter PDF Pro on that single Terminal/Citrix server without user limit on that server.
If you eg. have 2 Terminal/Citrix servers with many users you would need then 2 so called eDocPrinter PDF Pro Terminal Server/Citrix Server " server licenses " to cover both servers.
